Taking our collaboration cohort virtual!

Over the past months here in Minnesota we have witnessed the tremendous potential of collaboration. When we come together our power is multiplied and we can accomplish things we could never do alone. This is especially true when we come together across lines of difference - as we saw when immigrant led movements joined forces with organizations and neighborhoods to provide constitutional observation and mutual aid in support of immigrants and refugees in our communities.
Collaboration is of course not only valuable in moments of crisis. When we invest in the long-term work of bringing people, organizations and systems together around a shared goal we maximize our capacity to create:
Forward-thinking and creative solutions to complex challenges
Efficient ways of meeting community needs
Powerful alliances to advocate for transformational change
As our communities continue to navigate losses in federal funding, threats to their safety and increased uncertainty many of us are being called on to do more with less. Collaboration is a critical skillset to practice in times like these.
Surviving these next years will require strategic and intentional collaborations that make the most of limited resources and continue to cultivate solidarity and innovation.
Three years ago, Courageous Change Collective developed a cohort experience that equips participants to build and sustain effective and equitable collaborations. Now in our fourth cohort, we have seen firsthand the power of creating a learning community to support the collaborative efforts our community needs.
This fall we are excited to expand our reach by taking the cohort virtual and opening it up to folks from across Minnesota and beyond!
